The drives worked fine, but Softraid would not load. I use this app to manage my 4tb and 8tb OWC Thunderblade USB-C external drives. The only issue that I have had is that Softraid crashed on boot up. I have found it to be very stable and all of my favorite apps work fine including Capture One Pro 20 and X-Rite i1Studio monitor calibration software. The big problem with that is that you need a 10.4 machine in the middle to network them and since that one died, I'm back to sneakernet which might be faster anyway. People are shocked and intrigued at the quaintness of it all. Well, the last software on the Mac, at least. I'm proudest however that I keep three old boxes running (one at a time) system 9.2.2 which is the last OS that will run the software for the drum scanner. Personally, I keep all sorts of older Macs around running older OS versions for specific programs that are critical to me but abandoned by their developers and even one of those got disabled by a freaking dot release about three years ago. You learn to live with it and pretty soon all the kinks are straightened out and you've forgotten why you were so skittish in the first place. Never I get being cautious about upgrading especially with critical apps but what happens the next time you need to buy a new box and it's already at Big Sur or beyond.
